The “Cooperation with Peru” Consortium

On March 7, the Poznań University of Life Sciences, Poznań University of Technology and Adam Mickiewicz University signed a letter of intent establishing the “Cooperation with Peru” Consortium.

The graduation ceremony for students of second-cycle English-language programs was held this March 14 at the Runge Collegium of the Poznań University of Life Sciences.
 

PULS contributes to the success of scientists from Poznań

In Poznań, laboratory research resulted in developing a method for extracting compounds from cannabis used as adjunctive therapy in cancer patients.
 

The University has conducted this project for four years in cooperation with a large group of partners, including the Institute of Natural Fibers and Medicinal Plants, Poznań University of Medical Sciences, Institute of Human Genetics — Polish Academy of Sciences in Poznań and PozLab.
 

OUTSTANDING YOUNG SCIENTISTS AWARDED WITH SCHOLARSHIPS BY THE MINISTRY OF SCIENCE AND HIGHER EDUCATION

Ewelina Celińska, Ph.D. from the Department of Biotechnology and Food Microbiology (Faculty of Food Sciences and Nutrition) earned a very high 4th rank. Michał Tomasz Kwiatek, Ph.D. in engineering, until recently an employee of the Institute of Plant Genetics of the Polish Academy of Sciences, employed from this October 1 in the Department of Plant Genetics and Breeding at the Faculty of Agriculture and Bioengineering, was ranked 75th. Ewa Barbara Sell-Kubiak, Ph.D.

OUR STUDENTS AND DOCTORAL CANDIDATES AWARDED WITH SCHOLARSHIPS BY THE MINISTER OF SCIENCE AND HIGHER EDUCATION

645 students and 78 doctoral candidates will be awarded with scholarships by the Minister of Science and Higher Education in recognition of their outstanding achievements. This academic year, the amounts of support disbursed to students and doctoral candidates will be PLN 15,000 and PLN 25,000, respectively. This group includes students and doctoral candidates from the Poznań University of Life Sciences.

LAUNCH OF PULS Ph.D. STUDIES AT THE POZNAŃ UNIVERSITY OF LIFE SCIENCES

During the inauguration ceremony, attended by the Deans and by supervisors and tutors of doctoral candidates, the students enrolled at PULS PhD Studies took their oaths and received their record books. The interest in this program has been growing consistently over the years because the scientific staff’s authority attracts candidates for third-degree studies at our university. Also contributing is the English-language master’s degree program and the ubiquitous Internet which is the advertising medium for our Alma mater.

THE 2017 POLISH INNOVATIVENESS AWARD

The Center for Innovation and Technology Transfer at the Poznań University of Life Sciences was granted the 2017 Polish Innovativeness Award in the Innovative University category for the implementation of projects supporting the science and business synergy under a program run by the Polish Entrepreneurship Agency and the editors of the Entrepreneurship Forum of Dziennik Gazeta Prawna.

THE DEPARTMENT OF BIOCHEMISTRY AND BIOTECHNOLOGY AWARDED WITH THE 2017 INNOVATION EUROSYMBOL

The fifth edition of this prestigious annual award is a recognition of the innovative scientific and research achievements of the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology which now joins the most creative entities active in various public interest spheres.

The award ceremony of this year’s edition of the Innovation EuroSymbol will be held in Katowice this November 24.
