Professor Krzysztof Szoszkiewicz has been re-elected as the Rector of the Poznań University of Life Sciences

Professor Krzysztof Szoszkiewicz, the current Rector of the Poznań University of Life Sciences, has been re-elected for the term 2024-2028. The re-elected Rector will continue the mission of creating a strongly internationalized University, based on innovation, scientific excellence, and active engagement in the development of the academic community. His priority will be the further progress of the University and its staff, as well as the development of its research and teaching potential.

 

The Electoral College of the Poznań University of Life Sciences, on April 9, 2024, for the second time, elected Prof. Krzysztof Szoszkiewicz to the position of Rector of the University for the term 2024-2028. He competed for the Rector's seat against Professor Anna Gramza-Michałowska.

His rectoral program focuses on key areas of University development, such as modernization and strategic development, IT management, scientific activity, internationalization, education and students, doctoral school activity, university structure and personnel policy, experimental facilities and the Cluster of Natural Sciences Schools, cooperation with other academic centers, and strengthening the University's image and promotional activities.

 

During the current term, i.e., 2020-2024, the Poznań University of Life Sciences has achieved many successes, including the best result in the history of research evaluations, a significant increase in internationalization, and a record level of external funding acquisition. The Rector-elect plans to continue these activities, seeing vast potential for the University's further dynamic development in both science and education. Prepared for the new financial perspective of the European Union, he hopes for even greater opportunities to obtain funds for modern investments from various sources.

 

His commitment, determination, and organizational skills acquired during the ongoing term are expected to ensure the realization of ambitious plans. Together with the academic community, he plans to strengthen the University's position among the leading universities in Poland and make it an even more recognizable and esteemed academic center in the European and even global scientific community.
